Rex Clemesia
Dancer
Born in Curacao (1982). Hip-hop forms the basis of his dance career. Rex then studied modern dance at the Amsterdam School of the Arts (AHK).
As a freelance dancer, he has worked at Groundbreakers and the National Opera. Rex is driven by passion and curiosity about the energy of the body. In this way he combines various dance techniques. Rex wants to touch his audience in the conscious as well as the unconscious level.
"Hip-hop has taught me that the body speaks from the inside: pure high energy combined with the music. I try to speak pure, human, vulnerable and powerful with my dance language."
